What I'm Listening To... 8/15

Week of Aug. 15

New to What I’m Listening To…? Start here.

This week’s theme centered around being true to oneself, finding belonging and time spent asking beautiful questions. All podcast episodes from this week can be found in my Spotify playlist along with a few songs that were on heavy rotation throughout my week.

This week, I got acquainted with some new-to-me music in the form of Night Moves and revisited some old albums like Local Natives’ Gorilla Manor. Listen to my playlist to hear my favorites and a couple other songs that I frequently find my way back to.

Hopped aboard the On Being train once again this week getting to know David Whyte. Such a great talk on being present in reality and in your body.

Most mornings, I start my day with a walk and some poetry. What a great way to get grounded.

This week I listened to:
Joy Harjo — Praise the Rain
Lemn Sissay — Some Things I Like
Kai Miller — Book of Genesis

Book Club:
Detransition, Baby by Torrey Peters

Snack Reads:
Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon (audio book)

Deep Dive:
Blood of Elves by Andrzej Sapkowski (audio book)
Daily Prayer with the Corrymeela Community by Pádraig Ó Tuama (audio book)
