This work is an ode to taking a moment. 2020 has been a cluster. I feel it. You feel it. Give yourself permission to take a second.

Calm down. Take is easy. Breathe.

I have to keep pressing into these moments of calm when I get all worked up or find myself in spaces of utter discouragement. I can’t bring change overnight. Neither can you. So we have to make sure that we’re not burning out. We have to stay the course. Stay consistent and persistent. We have to have endurance for the long road ahead.

So take a second. Get lost in the calm colors and gentle waves of the stitch lines. Let beauty into your life so that you can keep going today and the next day and the next.
